Grommet rubbers are rubber materials or bands for tightening joints between main line pipes and start connectors in drip lines.
They provide a secure connection for inserting micro-sprinklers or drip emitters into the main or branching line.
Features of Grommet Rubbers
- They have a central hole or slit to allow for insertion of drip emitters.
- The outer part of the grommet has a large diameter that fits into the punched in the irrigation tubing.
- They are resistant to UV rays, cold and extreme temperatures.
- Rubber is non-reactive to chemicals and fertilizers
Fitting Grommets
To join a grommet rubber, you need to punch a hole in the irrigation pipe supply at the desired place.
Then, insert the grommet rubber into the hole while ensuring it fits tightly to form a seal around the opening.
Once it is in place you can insert the drip emitter into the central hole or slit of the grommet.
