Features of Tee Fittings

Tee connectors are plastic, copper, brass or stainless steel material fittings. The choice of material depends on the application and the compatibility with the fluid being supplied.

Threaded ends – Have threaded ends to enhance them to join onto threaded pipes or fittings.

Specifications

Our Tee connectors are PVC and HDPE plastic materials. Both HDPE and PVC Tee Fittings are reliable and effective for use in water supply systems.

However, HDPE Tee fittings are stronger and long-lasting compared to those made of PVC materials.

Tee connectors come in different sizes and configurations to accommodate individual needs of an irrigation system.

We have 16 mm,25 mm, 32 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm and 63 mm tee fittings.

Parts or Structure of Tee Connectors

Tee connectors have three openings: one inlet and two outlet ends.

The inlet typically connects to the main line pipe while the outlets join two separate pipes.

The outlets can be of the same or different sizes depending on the specific requirements of the irrigation system.

Choice of Tee Fittings

When purchasing Tee connectors, you have to consider quality of the material, size of the connector and pipes, and the pressure of the system.

Installing Tee Connectors

Installation of tee connectors to an irrigation system requires appropriate sealing materials. The materials include;

  • Thread seal tape
  • Pipe dope
  • Gaskets

To install a threaded Tee fitting, you typically need to apply a thread seal tape on threaded ends to enhance a secure and leak-free connection. Then tighten the tee fitting onto the corresponding pipe.

Uses of Tee Connectors

  • They are mainly used in plumbing systems to branch off water supply lines to fixtures such as sinks, toilets or kitchen.
  • Applicable in irrigation systems to supply water to various farm sections or points.
  • Industrial transportation of fluids such as oil, gas, and other chemicals.
